Check out the fascinating founder and history pages of this early cinema that was within Pat Collins entertainment empire. Pat was born in Chester, he operated large fun fairs & cinemas, becoming a Liberal MP in the 1920s. He was not just a grand showman, he possessed entrepreneurial skills in business that made him very successful in all of his many ventures.

MAJOR CHANGE AHEAD! This local press advert announced the Majestic cinema was now a ballroom. However, Rank owned four Chester cinemas and within four years set about closing all but one, the Odeon. Just eight years of dancing at the Majestic as it gave way to bingo in 1965.
